data & development projects

Elizabeth Goltz

This is a repository of my data related projects, relevant work samples, and some creative tech experiments.

I have a MS in Data Science and Busniness Intelligence and Analytics Certificate from Portland State University (December 2025, GPA 4.0). I've been working as a Business Data Analyst for the last year, doing business intelligence, research and automation. My prior job on an Accessibility QA team hugely influenced my enthusiasm for making accessible data visualizations and storytelling. My first career was in the textiles design and fabrication industry, where precision math and process where my key skills. I am a systems thinker, a maker, and I have a passion for self-motivated learning and asking good questions.

In 2023 I participated in a programming retreat at the Recurse Center and joined a cohort of programmer artists in a an exploration of the limits and capabilities of AI models. I also built some workflows for analyzing images and text as data using Python and led an Accessibility meetup for developers to test for and code solutions to accessibility issues in their projects.

I love collaborating on solutions to complex data problems, testing the edges of systems so they run smoothly and creating accessible data storytelling.
